This was my second book by Ms. Sutanto, and I thought Dial A for Aunties was solid, but I liked the writing style more in this one. I thought it was really creepy, and I was so incredibly stressed out by the mom's boyfriend. I did feel like
the ending was a little abrupt and kind of got the writer out of a tight bind, which was a bit unsatisfying.
I also wanted a little more info about the gal
who died from the drug thing.

Not my favorite by this author. Definitely no humor, but the plot was a lot more basic too. A YA version of “You”.

i wanted to like this one but honestly it’s was just okay in every way. it was really promising at first but the ending kinda disappointed me. especially because it was left on a cliff hanger. not one of the clique “to be continued” one but Delilah just walked away from a conversation and then i flip the page and there’s the acknowledgments. it felt really out of place to just end the entire book with no final conclusion. you don’t find out what happened to Delilah, if she got arrested, moved to college, confessed to Aisha or what. So it felt sort of sloppy and lazy toward the end.

This quick YA thriller was really enjoyable to read. It was a little predictable and I wish there had been a bit more to it just to tie everything together.

I felt like
Delilah being the drug dispenser
came out of nowhere and I didn't like it. I feel like the author needed something to tie some parts of the story together and edited it in at the very end. Same with the detective.

I feel like it didn’t have the oomph to be a 4 or 5 star book. As a person who supports women’s wrongs in media, I ate this up!!! Logan was so creepy though. I really like how Jesse Q Sutanto wrote their interactions like a romance novel. Without his thoughts, it would’ve definitely been a cute romance novel! That’s how creepy Logan was.

So good, chills! Very interesting perspective from both characters and I was hooked.
