TITLE: The Savage

⚽️ Protective Hero

🔥 Parental Issues
The Savage started with a bang and immediately pulled me into the storyline. There is a lot of Angst and emotions in Gabe & Cecilia's story. Gabe finds an unconscious Cecilia in the pool change rooms and ends up saving her life, and in doing so, Gabe seems to form a bond with wanting to protect her. Cecilia has been pushed to the max and spirals before she meets Gabe. Slowly, he pushes himself through her protective walls, forming a friendship.
Gabe & Cecilia's story is spread out over three books, and The Savage does end on a cliffhanger, so if you are not a fan of those, you may want to wait until the third book is released. Overall, I enjoyed The Savage enough to give it a 4 / 5 Stars rating.

My heart is devastated. My heart is broken and torn up and all the ugly. I think it hits so much worse because I've been in a similar position that Cecelia has been in. And it's awful! The pain, the helplessness, the rage, the never ending grief, the scars, all of it. And all she wants to do, all I wanted to do, is for it to stop. Just for once, for it all to stop. She didn't, doesn't want to be saved. Neither did I. But God, I'm so thankful for Gabriel, Julio, and Felix coming into her life. They are fighting for her when she doesn't even want to fight. They are doing everything they can to protect her. I hope they figure it out. I really hope justice gets served. I need justice served in this case. I want to see it. Even if it's in fiction, the survivor needs to win.
Graphic: Bullying, Sexual assault, Gaslighting
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts, Suicide attempt
Minor: Toxic friendship
Premise revolves around sexual assault and suicidal ideation. If this triggers you, don’t read it
Story of a girl trying her best to navigate a horrible situation and a boy who wants to be her rock

i knew this would absolutely destroy my heart but this book was also so perfect. my love for Cecilia and Gabriel is UNREAL. i love them together and i love how much they care for each other regardless of the trauma they have both gone through.

Well hell what a book. I read this story in a couple of hours it took off from the first page and had a fast pace till that cliffhanger ending that I didn't know was going to happen. This book comes with triggers so read the warnings. This is by a new arthur for me and I'm definitely going to be checking out her other book's. I read the blurb and thought now this sounds interesting and let me just say it didn't disappoint. The words just flowed so smooth as the story progressed and had me turning pages that I literally couldn't put it down I didn't want to stop. I would absolutely recommend, but if you need trigger warnings please read what they are. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next.

An amazing book by Daniela Romero. Please read the triggers before reading. I loved reading this book about Gabriel and Cecelia. They both are going through something traumatic even though different. Gabriel feels he needs to save Cecelia and she says she didn't ask him too. Two strangers that get brought together and a relationship builds. But that cliffhanger was brutal and cannot wait fo next book.

Oh this book was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time! My heart aches for what both Cecilia and Gabriel have been through! I love how we are really getting into their heads and feeling what they are going through, especially Cecilia. Her reaction to what happened to her is just so real. Gabriel is just the kindest man, and I hate his parents for they treated him while he is going through his own loss.
I am eagerly awaiting The Striker for the conclusion of their story! Also waiting to see how Gabriel, Julio and Felix make sure Holt doesn’t go another day without paying for what he has done.
*Usually in my reviews I mention and rate the spice in the book, in respect to the theme of this story, it feels inappropriate to do that. I will just reiterate how much I love Gabriel and Cecilia together.*
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
