Really beautiful writing, and a very cool take on non-binary gender. Lots in here about patriarchy and queerness. It was kind of a weird mix between an easy to read romance and a deeper critique of gender.

I love mythological retellings and how the symbolism in those old stories open for some deeply philosophical renderings. I greatly enjoyed how this book explores themes of gender fluidity, sexuality and identity as well as bringing trust, safety and betrayal into that conversation. 

Only thing I struggled a bit with in this book was the switching between first and third person narratives. That threw me off a few times.
