I loved pirate talking and cursing child named Gennie. The book had a wide array of loveable characters. The book brought out all of the emotions, but it was a lighthearted romance all around. i just wish the book was a bit shorter and we got to certain points quicker. I’d love to see a book just written about Gennie’s college years and how she’s changed. I loved Noah and Shay.

I am slowly entering my Canterbary Era. This was my second read by this author, and I liked it almost as much as the first (Shucked, you may always have my heart). Curvy heroine whose entire personality doesn't center on her weight? Check. Man obsessed from the start? Check. Adorable small child to help bring in some of the heart-warming moments? Check.
Shay and Noah were so cute and adorable. I feared the miscommunication trope for a moment, but I should've known my girl Kate would never do me like that. Although communication wasn't the clearest from the get go, it didn't pose any sort of issue. I'm obsessed with Noah and Shay and everything Friendship.

it was pretty good! i forgot i was in the middle of reading it, but it was so good! i love noah and shay and their fake marriage. i loved the plot && how protective noah was of shay. i will never get over that they call each other "wife" and "husband" - SO CUTE!

cute cute cute cute cute (but also steamyyy, okay farmer king!!)
I'm not normally the biggest "childhood-friends-to-lovers" fan because it is so often hard to believe - people change, lives change, and by the time you meet up again, the person you thought you loved when you were 12 is not the same person anymore. but man, something about the way that Kate Canterbary did this one was really. goddamn. endearing. (FT. A CURVY FMC, MY BELOVED)
11/10 would move to the countryside to my dead step-grandmother’s abandoned farm after being left at the altar if there was a Noah Barden there waiting for me
