i loved this! very cute and i loved how the author tackled the difficult conversations that occur among the characters.

Hani and Ishu were so cute and they must be protected at all costs.

this was the cutest thing i’ve ever read.

if you want a YA wlw novel with a heartstopper vibe, this is the book you need.
i was expecting it to have a few cringe moments, because they’re teenagers, but not all all!
it was accurate and realistic.

what i liked about the characters :

- well-built and written : no flat or dull persons, and my previous reads were boring main characters, i really appreciated it.

- accuracy : occasionally, in ya books, when the characters are teenagers, they’re NOT written like it : too wise, cringey dialogues (listen, i do love heartstopper, but sometimes i had to pause the episode because that was too much

I found this book surprisingly slow-paced, which is rare for YA. Ishu and Hani were charming, but there was something about all the side plots that really slowed it all down, and I sometimes got distracted and couldn't follow. I loved the intersection of Bengali and Irish cultures in this book, as well as the really impactful and unflinching display of microaggressions, both with regard to culture and sexuality.
