4/5 - This book was so fricking adorable and I loved how it was a dual-pov book so that i could see how both of them were feeling after certain events. I really liked how this book talked about important issues such as the struggles that immigrant families face and how stressful it is to cope with parental aspirations that are difficult to live up to - it made the book more relatable for me. Although I found the first 50 pages a bit slow, Hani and Ishu were so cute together and the ending was sweet so I felt like that made up for it. Overall this is a really good queer YA book that is definitely worth the read!

Read this in one day (two sittings) and LOVED it!! It is so underrated, it has so many good tropes that so many people love yet its so underrated!

- sapphic
- fake dating
- enemies to lovers (kinda)
- representation
- one bed trope
- and so much more

so I have a few things I would liker to further discuss:

1. characters
the characters were all so strong on their own and individual, like they didn't feel like the same or similar to each other and they were so well thought out and well written. I either loved or hated everyone (especially hated a certain someone, if you know you know)
2. plot
the plot is meaningful and there's realistic problems the characters go through and its not too dramatic
3. the writing is beautiful and it doesn't get boring or too long in any way, every sentence serves its purpose

let me leave this with a quote that's just UUUGGHHH
"why is this even a thing? everyone knows that you're going to be with a guy at the end of the day, and while whole bisexuality thing is your way of seeming interesting or whatever. like you're so muslim you won't even drink a drop of alcohol and you want us to think you're for real gay?"

I enjoyed this book a lot more than The Henna Wars. While the Henna Wars fell short for me, this one made up for it. I loved Hani and Ishu and I loved reading more about Bengali culture. It had this representation as well as pulling off the fake dating trope successfully. I would definitely recommend this to others!

Ein wirklich ganz süßes Buch und ich fand ganz toll, dass
das Drama gar nicht war dass ihr Fake Dating Dokument veröffentlicht wurde,
denn das kann ich nicht mehr lesen.
