Sapphic? Fake dating? yes and yes. This book was so cute and I was screaming at my kindle the entire time. I wish I had what Hani and Ishu have.
I really liked the discussion brought up about toxic friendships, I related so hard to the situation and thought it was handled well. It was something I wish I could’ve read awhile back.
My only problem was understanding Irish slang (lol). This is the second sapphic book I’ve read set in Ireland this month and have had to furiously google slang hahaha. Which is totally on me.
(fyi: it does deal with some very blatant biphobia & islamaphobia & racism, if you’re not comfy reading that content)
Happy reading!

I liked it, I liked it a lot. I just felt like the ending was very unsatisfactory. I enjoyed the social commentary on been queer and Muslim. All in all a good book. Would recommend.

I'm stuck between a 3.5 and a 4, so I think I'm going to rate the book 3.75!
It was such a cute little romance with one of my favourite tropes ever: FAKE DATING!!!! I LOVED IT! :)

Like THE HENNA WARS, this was an adorable sapphic story! I appreciated that the characters didn't immediately forget everything they knew about each other for the sake of the conflict. They communicated and were willing to work things out. I loved Hani's parents and Ishu's sister. Another great read from Adiba Jaigirdar.
