Excellent story, with layers, multiple points of view, and 2 different time periods. Writing about the Holocaust, what should happen to former Nazis who have lived under assumed identities for over 60 years is a huge project. Are they deserving of forgiveness, and who has the right to grant it? Do decendents of victims have the responsibility to ensure the perpetrator is punished, sit in judgment, or forgive?
I love how every character has their own beliefs challenged in different ways. The truth is that life is filled with situations with no easy solution and people are complex individuals.

Wow 4.5 ⭐️ This is probably one of my favorites of hers. The story is told from many different perspectives and each one is captivating. However, the one that really tugged at me was Minka's story. All in all a great read. Once I got into it I had trouble putting it down. Definitely recommend.
