I lost my objectivity and I will keep giving this 5/5 because I love it!
Honestly, though, this one has the best mystery so far. It's long and I figured it out quickly, but it was so good.

As always, I love this series with its delightful art style, clever paneling, and dramatic line work! In this volume, there were only 2 mysteries (not a bad thing) because the first mystery was longer and more complex (a good thing, since it contained many characters involved in 3 murders on a boat!) whereas the previous volumes both contained shorter 3-4 mysteries each. New gadgets from Dr. Agasa keep appearing, and the tension rises as Rachel starts questioning Conan’s identity for the first time! Oof

A book to take my mind off things! I love closed room mysteries. (OKAY I AM BIASED AS A DAD BUT I AM GLAD THE SECOND STORY ENDED WITHOUT JAIL.)

Some stories are about the destination, instead of the journey, and you'd think a mystery story would be one of those, but with Case Closed it's been a joy to re-read, even when I know who the culprit of a case is. This can mostly be thanked due to the endearing characters and the fact the overarching story is more than just the cases being solved. This volume is the first volume where some suspicion is thrown in Conan's direction and it's a joy watching him try and avoid those suspicions while solving the case. It's interactions like those that make the journey of this story a pure delight to re-experience!
