This is among the most moving and painful stories I've ever read. It really makes my heart ache for justice in this world.

I found Sparks Like Stars hard to put down.  This was not as engaging a read.  While I wanted to know what happened to the main characters, it was slower and I’m getting tired of the back and forth story lines.  Still I felt I learned something about women’s lives in Afghanistan and I was often infuriated at their treatment
