Great read, both a book about a serial killer and a coming of age book of a gay teen.
Could not guess most twists, and was kept guessing till the end who the killer was.
One suspect later in the book gets a short, very well built up to the suspicion and a typical situation of the lone detective walking into danger. Liked that scene a lot!
Fast read, very suspenseful and highly recommended. Way better than the book a will probably DNF which I took a break from for this, You (also a TV-series on Netflix)

The book was good, the twist was a little predictable but I was still pleasantly surprised.

I was about halfway through when I realized I didn’t really care about the mystery or the characters 😬. At this point, I don’t finish books I’m not enjoying.

A fast-paced thriller with an ending I never once predicted. What a refreshing, wonderful mystery. I loved this book.

I saw previous reviews that the ending was predictable, and y'all are lying.
I read this as an audiobook and it felt like I was listening to a true crime podcast, but real-time. There were a few holes or convient pieces, but I feel like that's just common for YA mystery. The romance was really cute and not overly done. Was the main character annoying....? yes, sometimes whiny. But yet again, 'tis a YA novel. It's only authentic lol

Thank you Tom Ryan for ending my long streak of books that I did finish but didn't enjoy. I had a feeling I would like this and it lived up to my own hype! It was an intriguing murder mystery/thriller. A serial killer and so many suspects! Kept me guessing right up until the end. I think it's safe to say I have a new will-read-anything-they-write author.

i thought the reveal was interesting like, usually with who dunnit books and shows im suspicious of everybody but this book got me with the reveal ngl… i just don’t know how to feel about doris though, like i don’t like her but i kinda do??? very complex character but i think at the end of the day she had to do what she had to do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ other than that, i kinda thought the romance between quill and mac was boring?? and this book was just really boring during the first half tbh
