A good book, but not my favorite in the bunch. It is a little less charming and has a little less action than previous novels, however it is a necessary step in the overall arc of the series. Hopefully the next is back on target.

I still enjoyed reading this as it is part of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series, but its not my favoriate. The story seemed to be all over the place and not as compelling. Smith stayed true to his layed back stlye of writing which made it enjoyable to read, despite the fact that, even at the end it felt like we had just walked down a long rambling road and ended right back where we started.

The wedding scene was cute though...

The series continues to get better and better. The ending felt a little sudden, but that's probably more that I wasn't ready to leave the story than through any fault of the author. Looking forward to the next book.

Not much detective work but a heartwarming and delightful story nonetheless.
