❝When I was a little girl I would argue with my parents about who loved who more. As big as the universe, we’d say. Forever and a day. Infinity plus one. Until the end of the world and after.❞

[b: Until the End of the World (Until the End of the World, Book 1) |55612311|I Love You Until The End Of The World - Boys Love Manga (Boys Love Collection Book 1)|Charlie Caron|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1602300631l/55612311._SX50_.jpg|86726875] by [a: Sarah Lyons Fleming|7171979|Sarah Lyons Fleming|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1374388174p2/7171979.jpg] is a unique post-apocalyptic book.

Whilst there is romance in this story, it’s not the driving plot point. Instead, Fleming treats us to a diverse cast of characters, who are forced to adapt to a world heavy with loss and filled with danger.

Humanity has fallen. The dead have risen.

I will note that I don’t plan on reading the rest of the series due to reviews warning of a certain character’s death, as personally, I feel they will negatively impact my current feelings for this book. I’d rather rate it as a standalone.

❝It hurts, but suddenly I understand that it’s better to feel something than nothing at all. And I find that once I give into it, it lessens, and all that’s left is love.❞

Bad writing, characters that are literally cardboard cutouts, and the plot goes nowhere. I kept reading to see if it would get better but it didn't.

Amazingly good! Loved that it was a female protagonist. I teamed up a few times and laughed out loud. If I were in a z-movie apocalypse, I’d want Cassie and her family on my side!!

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were frustrating at times, but grew and developed. This totally has me wanting to build an off the grid cabin somewhere to prepare for zombies!

According to the internet Until the End of the World by Sarah Lyons Fleming is supposed to be one of the best zombie apocalypse books ever, but having read it I'm left confused. Why? There is nothing new or unique about this book, unless you consider a passive aggressive prepper Mary Sue to be special. There's no heartbreak; every climactic point peters off into nothing; half the characters are interchangeable and lack personalities; there's hardly any struggling for survival; deus ex machina appears multiple times. The protagonist Cassie spends most of the book hung up on an ex for some reason the reader is never privy to. Oh, and perhaps my biggest complaint: every heterosexual character ends up with a happy ending (hfn tbh since it's the apocalypse) while the gay character is left with bupkis. Dude is honestly a badass who spends the whole book suffering and doesn't even get anything to show for it at the end! Ugh. Infuriating.

Still going to finish the series though. I'm just in a zombie apocalypse kind of mood these days I guess (just wanting to read about myself RIP) ;_;

This was a little hard to get into but once I did I enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as some of the other zombie apocalypse books I've read because there is not much new going on. However, it made me care enough about the characters that I'll read on in the series to see what happens.

Wow. Truly one of the best books I've read in awhile.. And I've read some good ones. I couldn't put it down. I think the setting and plot were very creative and an interesting new look at the zombie apocalypse. I will officially read anything Sarah writes. I love her style and the characters she creates. I'd hate to oversell it, but this book has made it to my favorites list.

Also, for those who like audiobooks.. The narration is excellent.
