Oh god, this book BROKE ME. I loved Knight and BB even though they were ABSOLUTELY terrible for one another. It can be really frustrating to read a book about minors that act like adults and this wasn't my high school experience, but I found some stuff super relatable.

OMG I don't even have words for this book it has consumed and ruined me for all others not quite sure getting over Knight is even a option/possibility! All I can tell you is that I feel as if this book has taken a piece of my soul with it.😭😭😭

This book just wow. I cannot stop thinking about this book. I read it first instead of 44 chapters first and honestly I recommend reading it that way just so it could rip your heart out even more. I love knight. Should I love knight? Probably not. But I do. His character is so raw and high school me wanted to wrap him up and do everything I could to try and fix/help him. I listened to the audio of this to begin with but ended up having to read it cause it was all I could think about and I just wanted to know what was going to happen next. 5 stars through and through. Like I said READ THIS FIRST then read 44 chapters about 4 men and it will have you reeling just as it left me.

44 Chapters About 4 Men is one of my favorite books EVER. So it goes without saying I was over the moon excited for more from BB Easton.

Skin…sigh… saying this book was good would not do it justice. Phenomenal. Fantastic. Insanely entertaining. Everything I could have hope for and more. Have you ever read a book that made you feel so much you just had to set it aside, and step away for a moment. Collect your thoughts process your feelings. That happened to me. Skin made me feel. Good, bad, happy and sad. I laughed. I cried. I felt everything.

Honestly, before I read Skin, I was intimidated by the idea of a book about that crazy skinhead, Knight. He was so intense in 44 Chapters and I’m such a wuss when it comes to books with darker themes. I wasn’t sure how I would handle all that is Knight. Gah! I’m so happy I read this book. She made Knight almost relatable and lovable with his twisted yet oddly sweet characteristics. BB’s writing sucks you in. Her mixture of realness and her brand of humor will have you clinging for more.

I bow down to BB Easton. Two books in and she absolutely crushed it both time.

Skin is the first in the spinoff series to BB Easton’s 44 Chapters about 4 Men series. At first, I almost didn’t continue because it felt really, really repetitive since I had just finished the 44 chapters book. However, I am glad that I stuck it out because what you get is a complete story. We get to see the whole side of Ronald McKnight that was just summarized in the 44 chapters movie.

If you enjoy BB’s realistic style of storytelling, you will definitely enjoy this novel. It was an emotional rollercoaster that led to a great segue to the need novel.

I look forward to reading Speed, the next novel in the 44 Chapters about 4 Men series.

Enjoy!

Yes

So I finished 44 chapters this morning and immediately downloaded Skin because I have a huge soft spot for the hard shell and soft centered bad boy and I can only dream of someone loving me the way Knight may or may not have loved you(wink wink)

BB started the book explaining that some of the scenes didn't actually happen in her life but could just have easily happened with how they fell into place so effortlessly. I honestly couldn't tell you what I believe to be real and what wasn't. Throughout the book you are fully engaged with the story and BB's emotions, if she feels down you feel down and if she's having a bitch fit your shouting at the pages cheering her on (at least my daft arse was in the living room). There's a world wind of events at the end which tug on your heart strings and I really rooted for BB when she knew she was heading in the right direction even if it's a bumpy journey judging from the size of the next 3 books.
