I can’t even explain how much this book and its characters made me laugh out loud at the ridiculousness of it all 😭

Just no.
I had heard mixed reviews but went in hopeful.
I can get behind smut, taboo romance and even generic plot lines IF there are other redeeming qualities (if the writing is done well, if I connect with the characters, if the spice is done well). This book had none of that. The spice wasn't written well, the characters were completely unrelatable, the plot was basic and a tad ridiculous. The FMC was 17/18 and acted VERY 17/18, immature and annoying. The fact that Jake was attracted to a literal child gave me MAJOR ick (you shouldn't be waiting for them to turn 18...) and maybe that is because I'm close to Jake's age (i assume) but it was just gross. I never DNF a book but I was very close with this one.

kaleb❤️

It took getting to 40 % of this book for it to really catch my attention - Felt alittle boring and non spicy - BOY WAS I WRONG!!! The rest of the chapters had me closing my eyes, gasping for air and saying" are you kidding me right now" it was FULL OF SPICE ! Def recommend it to another in the smut community. Its a pretty wild concept but written well. I liked how the chapters shifted from the characters point of view narration. I liked that I could visual what was going on in the spicy scenes as well as the mundane ones out in the woods.

family bonding? no… family bondage.

the reading equivalent of watching a car crash, like you hate what you’re seeing but you can’t look away! could genuinely not put it down but also felt so sick!!!!

Yes. Yes yes yes.

Ha. Feels wrong to say I loved the spice & I would still recommend this book but morally I hated this book. Her & the uncle was creepy & I didn’t feel right reading it. In the middle of this book I had to take a break mentally lol

“Sucks, doesn’t it?” A beautiful smile plays across his lips. “Craving that fucking escape so badly, because someone else left you empty?”
