Well… *clears throat*

That was quite the hot little number from the infamous Calmes.

I suspect fans of hers would say this is everything one would want and expect.

Noah and Dante have been apart for years, both victims of a horrible manipulative boss interfering with their lives with no remorse or conscience. These two never stopped loving each other despite believing the other wanted out. Fortuitous circumstance allows Noah and Dante to meet up 6 years later and surprise!!! This results, of course, in some very nice proprietary claiming. Oh yeah...

The more I listen to Nick J. Russo, the more I like him. He just keeps getting better and better, bringing this story to life and making it exasperatingly funny and sexy in only the ways Calmes can do so.

I laughed, I swooned, I fanned myself. This totally brought a smile to my face!

Thanks to the author/publisher for the audio in exchange for a honest review

This story was pretty good, but I think it would have been better if it were longer. The story felt rushed, and I have a hard time believing a shy little girl who isn't big on strangers just decided Dante was great after meeting him once, and why did the story start after Dante was caught kissing the other woman?! And why did Noah just believe everything Dante said and take him back after 6 years of no contact, and why would Beck just tell Dante the truth when he called?! If the story had been drawn out a little, and Dante had proven himself to Noah, I could see him taking Dante back, but I just had a hard time believing everything worked out perfectly for everyone so quickly.

This was absolutely perfect! It was sweet, funny, and totally captivating. It made my heart ache in places, too. I only wish the story had been longer, because I fell in love with Noah and Dante and wanted to see so much more of their life together and their family once they had been reunited. Gracie was such a sweetheart, and Dante totally cracked me up. I loved his confident attitude and his pure determination to get Noah back and to be a dad to Gracie. I also loved his passion - he loved Noah so much (and Gracie too), and that was abundantly clear throughout the story. Wonderful story and a total comfort read - I will definitely be re-visiting this one whenever I need a pick-me-up!

I liked the story but it went too fast. I wish it would have taken the main characters more than 24 hours to get back together, especially with a child involved.

I enjoyed this fast-paced novel. It had a very intriguing plot and I really liked Gracie. I wished it's longer though, because I totally imagine the angst and twist for Noah to accept Dante back. After six years of separation I found it quite unrealistic that they both could just resume. The characters and their background were also not quite elaborated, leaving some questions unanswered. And Beck's screw up is just that - screwed up. It's hard to believe and just weird. Ah, the bad breakup with Keith was also very HEA it made me cringe.

It's still good for a quick enjoyable read though. As I said the plot was very intriguing :D

So squishy

This was such a cute and swishy story. This is the first book I have read from this author and I definitely want more.

This was the literary equivalent of a runaway train - out of control from the very first scene. The writing felt a little paint by numbers in parts and it had a lot of the "you know you love me and only me" posturing that absolutely drives me up the wall. But, you know... it wasn't unreadable.

There was a lot of drama for such a short book.

What is there not to like? This was my best short read, in a long, long time and defintely something that I would read again!! I just loved what chemistry that Noah and Dante had, so palpable!!
