Una historia de 5 estrellas a carta cabal.
.

I certainly agree with Bendis that the Avengers needed some shaking up and restructuring, but I have mixed feelings about the way he accomplished it. Among other things, I'm sort of bothered by the treatment of Wanda.

The Thor storyline was excellent. A much better take on the character and supporting cast than a lightning version of "Hulk smash!". I enjoyed Thor more than I have in a long time.
The Captain America part was gritty and gave him some fine personal dimension.
I've never particularly liked thew character Iron Man, but his story in this was well told with some good depth.
Though his villains were only a small shift from the chatty type and into ; which didn't make them all that different (same difference).

A strong opening for Bendis' run.
If I were an Avengers fan reading this when it was originally published, I would have been angry, but now I enjoyed it knowing the author was playing the long game.

The precursor to House of M, where the Avengers have the worst day ever. We’re not sure whose behind all this, until we find out one Avengers got their memories back and they’re not too happy about it.

Bleak, but so well written!

A decent, if somewhat disappointing story arc. These are all fine issues, but one would expect something more at the end of the Avengers era.

I really liked reading this. It was interesting all the way through, and though it wasn’t the end I think it could serve as a good one. And it’s touching too.

Though this began to shit all over the Scarlet Witch, it’s kicks off what became House of M which is still felt today in the continuity.

It’s a Bendis book and his style of tropes and operating really works for me. I think he has a focus on character that has lead him to produce a large body of critically acclaimed work.

This event while isn’t completely in continuity anymore is still a pretty enjoyable read with a good focus on character, every hero you can think of, a touching conclusion, and one horrific day.

Not as bad as One More Day though.

4 stars.

In some ways this is a beating. It is tragedy after tragedy. However, it is so well written. Loved it.
