Pretty Mess is a memoir in name only. I'm honestly not sure how to classify this book. It's boastful, unrelatable and gives almost no insight on the author. On top of that, it's just poorly written and organized bizarrely. Pretty Mess commits the worst crime a book can do, be boring and incredibly dull.

Though I don’t watch RHOBH anymore now, Erika has always been my favorite. The memoir very much reads in her voice so it felt a bit detached and not a ton of personality (if you watch the show you know what I mean!) that I would have hoped for. It was, however, a great peek into who Erika really is, how she became to be Erika Jayne, and who she was before meeting Tom.

An easy and enjoyable read. A palate cleanser for me after a few heavy hitters.
