A bit unevenly edited or spaced in the second half but otherwise a good case for its position.
Not everyone will want to read this but everyone should. Highly recommend.
so so important. love how he tackles issues we often avoid discussing because it makes us and/or others uncomfortable, but we need to get past these so we can get to work!
everyone please read!

I slogged through 70 pages and still had zero interest. Likely illustrating half his point about how we can’t bring ourselves to care. But nonetheless.
I believe that the message of this book “eating less animal products is an essential choice for everyone for our world to not implode”, however, the writing style was not for me. He makes an argument in the book that action best happens with an emotional response, and I believe he tries to use that within his writing to change ones mind into removing animal products as the main source of one’s diet. The problem is that he uses too many stories to repeat the same point.
I am going to try reading “Eating Animals” as I do believe in the message and the time he has put into his research, but this book was not for me. The message is essential but the delivery was not it.

Do you think you're helping to slow climate change? I did until I read this book. This is not a preachy book nor is is only about climate change. Foer seamlessly shares stories about the amazing things we have done to help others and how that can relate to helping the earth, too. His style makes the book readable and enjoyable while challenging the readers' commitment to the environment. A quick and thought provoking read.
Changed my opinions on eating meat and more importantly my opinions on perfection.
Eating meat once a week is not a miss for climate change, it's 6 days of victory!!

I would give this book 10 stars, if I could.
This is the most accessible, emotional and human book on climate change. While in between it fills you with dread, in the end I had tears in my eyes and was motivated to live, as weird as it sounds.
The author reflects on his own story, his own actions (or lack thereof), while explaining why we don't do more about the climate crisis. How we function and look at things, how structures make us do something (or nothing). And which actions have the most impact. And why.
I loved how it wasn't black and white. We will make mistakes, but at least we are doing something. And most important of all: Let's fucking ensure we can experience the things that make human life so extraordinarily beautiful, now and in the future. Let's make the future possible.
