I suspect like all Americans, especially politicians, hell, like most citizens of the world, the reason the author overlooks a major component in the climate crisis is denial and/or the fear of speaking the dreaded truth: we might not be able to solve or get a handle on the crisis because no one wants to say it out loud: it’s over-consumption, consumerism, *gasp* capitalism that has brought us here and will continue to drag us further into the abyss.

the book moved me though it wasn't what i expected. it was scattered and meandering but i dug the message and the call to action. i definitely plan on reading Eating Animals next.
