I liked this! I think the essays varied in strength. This definitely is a good intro to intersectional feminism, so I can see why it was recommended so widely in 2020. It covers a wide range of important topics and Kendall includes a lot of human elements in her analysis, which I think makes it very compelling. I think I’m someone who likes more academic feminist texts, so I sometimes am unsatisfied with essays that lean more heavily on media/pop culture analysis (e.g. using an article published in outlets like Vulture in 2015 as a basis for a particular case study or argument) which a few of the essays in this did. But overall I did enjoy it, felt challenged by it in several places, and would recommend to others.
