My first Kira Roman read!

I saw a TikTok for this book and thought it sounds really good. So I downloaded it and read it! I was not disappointed. It was so good! I finished it in a few hours!

I really had high hopes for this because I've seen it all over booktok. This felt so all over the place with the miscommunication from everyone. All the guys say they love her but it feels more like they forced her than anything else. the twins tell her they want her but then flirt or sleep with other people in front of her. Jealously throughout and no one is talking about anything. The brother and Best friend are kinda just there and I feel like they made no difference to the story at all. The best friend has this whole backstory that is talked about but not really talked about. And the brother did his brotherly duty of telling her not to get involved after dropping her off to live with 3 guys he knows sleep around! And once she has the baby it's all oh it's fine you're going to be good for my sister.

3 stars but even that's generous. The premise was there but could have been executed so much better.

  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated

It's enjoyable but I'll admit it has one of my least favourite tropes the miscommunication for added drama.
This means that there is very little in the way of relationship building, particularly between Laura and Greyson. Even by the end I'm not entirely sure why exactly they're together.

Oh Violet

This was a sweet contemporary reverse harem stand alone. Made me feel gooey inside and enjoyed everyone finally giving in to what they want.

Not a huge fan of pregnancy in books and the men staying because of that.

Adorable

This story was so cute and yet painful! All the miscommunication really added a layer of pain and emotional struggle that brought tears to my eyes! And the spice was freaking phenomenal for a standalone!!!
