This is a cute read about touring musicians. It's always fun to read about unexpected lovers and characters who are more than they seem. This is the perfect summer beach read!

read if you love: sweet romance, low spice, music

Thank you to SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

5 very easy to give stars ⭐️

Loved it from beginning to end!!

Remy and Vivi are both in the music industry, although in complete different positions in life. I really liked the setting of the book - I felt it was very well characterized even to the small details, which we get access to through Vivi’s personality.

The female main character, Vivi, is definitely very Taylor Swift inspired. I don’t usually follow Taylor’s career, but I didn’t had a problem with the inspiration. I feel it might be a good bonus for the fans out there. As for the male main character, Remy, I liked the strong relationship he has with his brother, in a “we against the world” kind of way. I like seeing descriptions of strong siblings’ relationships in fiction and this one was gold. Additionally, although the book is told in the 3rd person, we have a major focus of the male character’s side of the story, which I highly appreciated, as contemporary romance tends to focus on females. This one felt refreshing in this sense.

I was very surprised to appreciate this much a slow burn. Don’t get me wrong, the fact is I don’t usually go to slow burn as I like faster paced stories, but the slow burn here works wonders, as the characters are getting to know one another. I really liked the pacing!! The chapters are short, and manage to keep the reader interested throughout the book. We get small glimpses of the brother’s past in some chapters, which I enjoyed as I tend to like this use of different times for narration.

Which kept me hooked until the end was, in fact, the many layers of the story and the fact that none of these characters is perfect. There were times I wanted to shake them up in order to make them see the truth

what can i say, i really liked it.

i love a short and sweet lovestory and i really appreciated that it was from the hero's pov because i feel like you don't see that very often. or its like a dual pov and also they are so overly sexualizing the heroine its like.. damn, i know its page 4 but just go to pound town already.

i caught on very early on that vivi was based on taylor swift but it does get nailed down pretty hard later on when its like, she used to make country music and now she makes pop.

To borrow an idea from the book, this story is one I can only call “golden”. I fell hard and fast for this one! This book is from a single (male) POV which was a fun change! Vivi Swan is one of the biggest popstars in the world. When Remy Young gets signed to be her drummer for a short leg of her tour, everything changes for them both. If you love anything about music, celebrity, SLOW BURNS, sweet romance, and grand gestures, you’re going to love this book. I loved seeing the woman as the one who was the celebrity. I’m obsessed and now I’m going to be in a reading slump for a few days. This is one that will stick with you. Great for fans of the Happy Ever After Playlist. Thank you so much to NetGalley for this ARC! This easily became a favorite of mine that I already can’t wait to re-read.

I thought that this book was a lot of fun overall.

Six Ways to Write a Love Letter didn't pull me in right away. It felt angsty and a little too youthful for me, but as the story went on - I grew to love the characters involved. You've got Remy, this grungy indie artist working in a studio as a junior producer/drummer - he wants something more. His brother, Val, is fighting his demons with his girlfriend Celeste. When Remy gets ask to jump in last minute as a drummer for a pop star -- his life changes dramatically.

I got T-Swift vibes from Vivi Swan. Country goes pop, cherry red lips - fans screaming her name as she sings breakup song after break up song. It was really cool to watch her character develop into something that wasn't just the pop star -- to watch her barriers come down.

This book is your typical happy ever after, fade to black romance. Its a perfect beach read for the summer.

This book was provided by Netgally and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for an honest review. All of the thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you love Taylor Swift this is a book for you. Seriously. Imagine if Joe was her new drummer instead of an actor and there you have it. A reimagend romance between the two.
If you are not her fan, I'd still read it just for fun.
It was an interesting read but ultimately not really resonating with me. It felt at times very juvenile (and it's not the fade to black that's making it so) and the miscommunication trope is heeeeaaaavy here. The romance felt kind of disjointed and rushed even tho they took their time.
Overall not for me.
Unfortunately 1 stars.

I went into this book with high expectations - unfortunately, they were not met. I really like the idea of a Taylor Swift-esque pop princess falling for the has-been that is touring with her, and them collaborating professionally & personally. This book has that, and I thought it was really interesting to have it from the man’s perspective. I found Remy to be a much more interesting character than Vivi - growing up in a strict religious community & then escaping with his brother & having their own band. However, I thought the story moved so slowly that any of the fun was sucked out of the story & it started to feel like a chore to read. This is not a light-hearted, fluffy romance - there are serious issues like addiction & the price of fame, especially for the super famous, and at times I felt that there was too much going on outside of Remy & Vivi’s relationship. By the time we get to the end, it feels rushed - there’s grand gestures, but no real discussion of their issues.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca & NetGalley for the DRC in exchange for an honest review.

I read it in 2 days. So fun and bright and lovely. Remy’s still waters run deep. Vivi is a vault. They open each other up from a place of guardedness that is tangible and makes the vulnerability and tenderness underneath just that much more vivid.
