So creepy and disturbing, but also funny. The ending is a big surprise and I like that, but it finishes abruptly and I would have liked some more wrap up.

I definitely enjoyed this book, although if you're a major fan of the show this feels more like a quick recap than a full-length novel. I think in this case the original material has been left in the dust by the fantastic tv adaptation. Thank you Jeff Lindsay for writing this so Dexter could run.

Wow, I was really impressed with this book! I originally got into Dexter from the tv show. Once I found out it was a book I knew I had to read it! The book is very much like the show, you can tell that instead of the show shaping itself it really is shaped by the book. The personalities, the actions, everything. It is great that the book is so vivid with details about the characters. Even though I already knew the storyline this was a page turner! It only took me a couple of days to finish it! It is a great read and I would highly recommend it!

As a huge Dexter (the TV show) fan I was worried that the books wouldn’t be as good as the show. From the moment the audiobook started I was hooked. I couldn’t wait to continue listening to the book so it definitely gets a 5 star from me.

Well written once you get into it. It took me a while to adjust to the very dramatic descriptions. I enjoyed where the story led us and thought it was very well done. Maybe I will try the TV show.

Dear Darkly Dreaming Dexter,
I am a huge Dexter fan, so I am not sure why you say on my TBR shelf for so long. It was so interesting and fun to jump inside Dexter's head. I loved that you gave me a perspective I didn't get from the TV show. The only thing that I wasn't a huge fan of is the fact that I kept picturing the show characters instead of the way they were described in the book. Whenever I need a return to dark and twisty and nostalgic, I will pick up the next book in your series!
