The book is good, but the end drags quite a bit.

Sadly, I was less enchanted by this third book. There was a LOT of food/descriptions of food/cooking, etc, that seemed extraneous to the plot. Frankly, for the most part, nothing happened. People sitting around, talking, eating, planning, but that's about it. The action, such as it was, seemed to be mostly offscreen and low stakes.

I loved the first couple of books and really was looking forward to this one. Sad to be disappointed. :(
