Good writing and character development but the story wasn't quite there for me.

Claire is dating a rising corporate lawyer, Chris, and is enemies with Chris' brother Dylan. The book starts with Claire and Dylan arguing and later she sees him kissing a man, who we find out is Aiden. This is a big deal because Dylan is a Navy SEAL and he's not out as gay or bi to his family. Claire is caught seeing them and she promises not to tell. Time skips and it's her wedding day to Chris, but he walks out on her because he's a suck up and his coworkers have made it clear that Claire won't get him ahead at his job. Claire is freaking out about the situation so Dylan takes her back to his & Aiden's apartment in San Diego to lie low while Chris goes off on the honeymoon they already paid for.

Claire, Aiden, and Dylan are attracted to each other. Dylan and Aiden have been together for a few months, they love each other but they're not gay they "need a woman every once in a while." Aiden locks Dylan and Claire in a room for them to get over each other where Claire tells Dylan that his mom Shanna has a crazy bad gambling addiction and was about to lose her home. Chris has been helping her the past year and Dylan hasn't done anything. Claire was judging him for not helping, but turns out he didn't even know and he had been misinterpreting all her comments about him and his mom. They literally kiss and makeup.

After that the 3 start a relationship together. It's extremely hot :P There's interactions with their friends where they admit they're in a "true 3-way" relationship and since this is already a very kinky group they're all accepting.

There's a situation with Aiden's dad who has a heart attack. And Dylan gets called up for a mission. Claire and Aiden have some time alone then later Dylan and Claire. These one-on-one times help the characters talk about their relationships and admit that they love each other. Once Aiden comes home he and Dylan finally admit they love each other.

But Claire was raised in a very conservative household. When Chris comes back from the honeymoon and sees them all in a state of undress, he tells her boss who fires her and tells her dad who stops speaking to her and tries to nearly disown her. Claire refuses to give up her relationship though and she starts putting together her own consulting company. Eventually her dad shows up on their doorstep saying her mom through him out. After a week of living with them where he grudgingly grows to accept her relationship with Aiden and Dylan, they go to dinner and reconcile him with her mom. After that its HAE for Claire, Dylan, and Aiden. They may or may not get married, and who is going to have children with Claire is still TBD but they are all 3 committed to each other.

This book was adorable!
I’m so glad this wasn’t just smutty and that the main ménage all had connections to each other. It was very wholesome and the love between them all was very equal. Although, I didn’t like how quickly they all got together. I think I would have loved more of a slow-burn and tension between the main character and the men, especially since she literally just got left at the alter. But I kind of expected the romance to be fast because of the length of the book. Other then that it was good!

this very much gave me salacious players club vibes! i liked that so much of the focus was on dylan coming to terms with his sexuality. this was spicy as hellll as also had such sweet moments that made my heart swell. the love between these three was so strong and it was truly entertaining!

She peeked over her shoulder with a coy smile. 'You boys coming or what?'

This book worked well on so many levels. Wholesome, hot and funny moments.
Bossy, honest Dylan. Calm, devious Aidan. Kind, blunt Claire.
Will revisit this story for sure :D

I loved the character Dylan in Getting Hotter and was super excited that the ninth book was about him, Aiden, and (surprise!) Claire.

Claire is Dylan’s brother’s ex-fiancé. After Chris leaves her at the alter, Dylan whisks her away to his place that he shares with Aiden. Both men are attracted to Claire but Dylan refuses to act upon it, since all Claire and Dylan do is bicker at each other, until Aiden locks them in a room together for a couple of hours.

As you know, I love relationships that start out with the two characters hating each other so this was right up my alley. Reading the struggle between Dylan wanting Claire so bad but knowing that he couldn’t have her and reading the struggle with Claire wanting Dylan and Aiden so bad but feeling like having two men wasn’t right, made it all interesting.

When it happened….FIREWORKS!

Again, Elle Kennedy surprised me by including some personal issues that each character had to overcome and made this book more intense.

And I just want to add the Chris is an absolute jerk!!!

Loved it! One of the best of the series. And might i just say that the ex-fiance was an ass!
