There’s just something special about reading about a psychopath falling in love, ya know?

This book is a clear case of how your mind and body won't cooperate. I’m not going to lie, I knew this book was going to be heavy on the SA and it was hard to read about at times, but it was also extremely cathartic. And since I’m being honest and all that, there were also a lot of crying down my legs happening. Ugh. Just, ugh.

Now, this is dark romance. I cannot stress this enough. Killian is -not- a misunderstood morally grey MMC. He’s is very much morally pitch black, and he knows it. This is a case of an MMC who’s manipulative and doesn't process feelings like a neurotypical person.

Is this book for everyone? No. But it was for me, and I honest to gods couldn't stop reading. I especially enjoyed the chapters from Killian’s POV, where you get an insight into how the brain of a literal psycho works.
