Yet another among the books published by Bill Watterson from the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip that I have enjoyed. My children have literally worn out these collections of C&H comics, and with good reason. C&H is a unique blend of homespun philosophy, side-splitting humor, and insight into the human (child and adult) condition. Watterson's insights into, and sly digs at, various social, familial, and other institutions of modern life are masterful.

The title speaks truth. If you're a Calvin and Hobbes fan, this is really indispensable. So worth owning and re-reading!

Fantastic, comedic, amusing, frustrating, imaginative, loquacious - all of these words describe Calvin, and the book, and the best newspaper comic ever to hit print (in my opinion). Watterson's last strip and decision to end the series after having, he felt, nothing more to say, was and still is saddening to many fans, but at least collections like this one exist to be read, reread, and reread again, before finally being passed down in a tattered condition to offspring.
Also - if nothing else, Calvin's continuous antics with the babysitter should crack up even none philosophical comic readers.

Calvin is just a wee silly guy who likes dinosaurs, that automatically makes this a 10/10
