With panels drenched in blood, Refrigerator full of heads takes the elements of first story arc and cranks everything even higher. Dropping more mythology into the backstory of the axe, Youers, Fowler, Taillefer and company press into the blackest of humor and a storyline that is dramatic almost to an extreme. Despite some of the exaggerations from Hill's initial run, the storytelling is fast-paced and compelling, making for a fascinating ride through carnage and ancient magic.
