This new series is drastically different from the cirque du freak series. They seemed a little slapped together and despite the fact that they spent a large amount of time in vampire mountain, a place which the original series spends a large amount of time in, this series really felt like he was just under a contract and had to get them out. Crepsley didn't feel like the same character as in the originals and the way he brings the two series together makes me wish I almost didn't read this series. That being said, it was still entertaining, however read cirque du freak before delving into this one even though this is much shorter.
