This issue was super fluffy. I mean, I know this series as a whole doesn’t have a really dark undertone. But, this was lacking substance. Instead of being sassy and sarcastic, Black Canary came off as daffy. And the resolution to the confrontation with the villain was solved simply and quickly...not much thought in that one. Even the artwork seemed a bit juvenile. It was not bad. It just didn’t seem to fit with previous issues. Needless to say, this wasn’t my favorite issue by far.
