3 stars for Leon because I love him and he carries this story. The plot ended up falling flat for me. It felt like a very entry level demon storyline. The plot didn’t pick up until the last 40% but it felt very rushed and predictable. My other issue with this was our FMC Rae. She has officially made the list of my least favorite FMC’s. She says at one point she’s “too special to die.” I mean, really? By the halfway point I just couldn’t care less whether she survived or not.
I still plan on reading the other books in this trilogy since I’ve heard they are a lot better.

I enjoyed this one. Yes it was full of smutt. And some of it was like "really?" But the story was good!

Considering the genre, this had a whole lot more plot than I was expecting and I had a great time.  That said, bits definitely felt a bit rushed and skimmed over, but I’ll forgive it for its shortcomings (mostly).

I did keep forgetting that her cat’s name is Cheesecake and it made me keep wondering why she was constantly picking up/thinking about dessert all the time, but honestly, relatable.
