adventurous dark funny slow-paced

While this book is almost 500 pages, it didn’t read like it. Very easy to get into!

Our main FMC Rae unfortunately does get very annoying 🤣 it wasn’t necessarily her indecisiveness(even though that was somewhat unbelievable because she loves the paranormal), but it was the poor decision making that got annoying. It felt like she was just making decision based on….?

I adored Leon. That’s all I can say haha.

The side characters are very one dimensional so if you’re looking for well flushed out characters you won’t find them here.

The plot is there… but I felt a bit unsatisfied with how things transpired.

Overall, I had a lot of fun reading it! Love me a good demon romance.

This book had me questioning all the things! Like where can I find a demon? and where do I sign? Leon is Possessive and Completely head over heels for Rae! I love a man who breaks all the rules just to get the one that he wants! Definitely not a slow burn by any means and the spice was definitely there! I'd give it a 4 outta 5 on the spice scale!

If you love Buffy the vampire slayer then you will love this.

This is if Buffy was a paranormal investigator, there’s a demon, there’s cults, and a whole lot of spice. 😂😍

What I enjoyed is the story didn’t lose the plot and get overtaken by the spice. There was still a well thought out and creepy storyline throughout.

Definitely recommend.

Rae, a paranormal investigator, moves back to her creepy hometown. She ends up finding a grimoire and stupidly performs a ritual to summon a demon. Leon. Who used to be owned by Kent Hadleigh, the cult leader. Kent wants Rae dead but Leon refuses and gets away. He falls for Rae and offers her protection for her soul but she refuses to give up her soul. Kent’s kids try to trick her and drug her so they can kill her but Leon keeps protecting her even tho she won’t make the deal. Someone steals the grimoire but he ends up getting the page with his name back. When Rae is captured and sacrificed to the god she ends up giving up her soul to Leon who comes and saves her after almost dying.

overall enjoyed reading this book. The spice was so good and I really loved the way Leon spoke to her. Their banter and their little games were super fun to read.

At first it was a slow burn but got going and it took off like an inferno and I couldn't pull it down. I am going to recommend it to all my friends who love dark romance.
