I started this ages ago and got 40% of the way in before I dropped it. I finally finished it and it was pretty basic. I like the whole demon monsters gods concept and stuff but I feel like the characters are just super under developed and the plot is a bit messy. Will probably continue the series one day. 2/5.

If I could give this book a 6 I would!! My first book my Harley. Absolutely devoured it. The balance between spice and plot is perfection. And I love nothing more than an overly devoted MMC. UGHH HARLEY consider me a forever fan!!

I couldn’t finish this, dropped it at chapter 34. Honestly, I can’t believe I wasted a credit on the audio—no disrespect to Gregory Salinas tho that kept it bearable, but this book just missed the mark.

Everything about it felt off. The FMC was honestly dumb, and I’m usually pretty patient with stupid insufferable FMCs. The rest of the characters felt flat and pointless, some of them adding absolutely nothing to the plot. Even the MMC, who’s supposed to be a demon, was way too nice—just didn’t fit his character at all. Every action the characters took felt nonsensical.

The smut was completely out of place with terrible timing. And for such a long book, the plot was painfully predictable and boring.

Giving it 2 stars because the writing itself was decent, but that’s about it.

This was rough to finish. The concept was cool, which is why I kept listening. But there was so much that wasn’t explained, and it felt like the author just wrote more smut to make up for a lack of world building or pushing the plot along.
