A bunch a really bad stories from 1980 to 1987. I thought it would be useful to get some more background understanding of the development of the Batman characters but for the most part this was a disappointment. The only interesting part was the character called the Wrath, Batman's evil "twin". An interesting thought experiment, turning the Batman origin story into something that results in an evil Batman-type character but other than the idea, the story is not really that impressive.

There were a few interesting moments, but all in all this was a weird mix of issues. It was confusing to read as a unit because there was no connecting theme and the selected issues weren't even in chronological order. It kept switching Robins on me. Not a great collection, but it made me want to read a cohesive trade from this era.

I liked the later issues the best and the one thing that may have helped me out a bit, I'm still a little new to the comics, is having the stories in order. It was great though!
