Loved this. Funny, painful, sad, shocking. This author writes internal monologues in a way I found profoundly relatable.

A book about an unlikeable person surrounded by people 10x worse.

Written in a stream of consciousness with the odd letter or email thrown in.

Character development didn’t really happen, she was just somehow slightly less of an awful person almost randomly..

The odd line was good, and was weird how you were kind of routing for/on the side of someone who wasn’t likeable at all bc everyone else was so much more awful and unlikeable…

Interesting, but really not enjoyable

CANNOT GET OVER

a) HER SISTER MARRIED HER EX BOYFRIEND AND SHE WAS OKAY WITH IT b) HOW AWFUL ALL OF HER BOYFRIENDS WERE. They all either sexually assaulted her or were massive creeps and she didn’t even realise😭 also don’t understand why the monkey thing was her fault ????

Very annoying/ frustrating main character Sophie where everything she does is irritating and it’s not just her, pretty much every character is quite unlikable.

There is an arc and you do grow to love them (a bit), but

they aren’t characters/a story that will stay with me but still an enjoyable read.
