This is a funny children’s picture book about a bear that simply wants to hibernate, but every time he tries to settle down, his friend who is a duck comes knocking to pester bear about something or other.

Loved it so much I think I'm going to buy a copy for Evie's library. This poor bear is SO TIRED and his duck neighbor is NOT TIRED. Hilarity ensues.

All Bears have a Duck in their lives, for better or worse.

Bear is sleepy and he wants nothing more than to go to sleep. His neighbor, duck, can’t sleep and wants nothing more than to bug the ever-loving crap out of bear. Duck will not relent. Bear gets angry at duck and duck finally goes home and now bear can’t sleep and duck is tired.

It was a cute story. I don’t think it was on the same level as the bad seed or the good egg, but it was amusing. I do like the pink stuffed rabbit bear that the nephew pointed out to me.

The nephew delighted in the antics of duck and he thought he was hilarious. He loved grouchy old bear. He too gave this 3 stars. He said it could have been funnier.

Slightly overrated, in my opinion, but cute!

As someone who cherishes sleep and naps almost daily, I could totally relate to bear's dilemma of wanting to sleep but continuously being woken up by his neighbor, who is wide awake. I adored the colorful and humorous illustrations. Kids will revisit this book again and again.

I read this one in preschool storytime and it was a huge hit. The important things is to remember to do separate voices for bear and duck.
