This book is such an emotional story. After reading the first book there was no way I wasn't going to read this one too so I could find out how this journey would end. From the moment you start reading you are pulled straight back into the characters. This book is probably even more heart breaking and emotional that the first book. The whole way through I kept convincing myself I knew how the story would end only to change my mind a few moments later. The author has created such a lasting story that I think stays with you long after the Duet ends. This is a fantastic series that I would highly recommend.

This is the conclusion of the Embrace Tomorrow Duet. I was just as an emotional wreck reading this book as I was during book one... actually, probably more so but in a totally good way! This author has done such a great job creating characters and situations that are real and believable. This story is extremely well written and the characters are well developed and have so much depth to them. I loved how everyone pulled together for Will and I admired the supportive strength of Tori. Their story was a sad, wonderful, journey and I highly recommend it! ... Just be sure to have tissues nearby!

Whatever Tomorrow Brings (Embrace Tomorrow #2)

4-stars

This is the second book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet, this book follows right from the conclusion of book 1 so I highly recommend starting with Come Back Tomorrow first.

Just like book 1, this story follows Will and Tori and their journey going through the medical steps that Will must go through in order to beat Cancer. I’ve thankfully never had to deal with a situation like this one, I can hardly imagine the pain of loving someone through this but this author made it feel really real for me.

I really enjoyed being able to experience the progression of their relationship, even though they are fictional characters I feel really happy for them and the way that it played out.

If you are looking for an emotional romance read look no further this is the book for you!

This book is a very intense read, be ready to grab a box of tissues. The author does not flinch from giving a detailed picture of what it is to deal with Cancer and how the patients deal with it. Can two people in love beat the disease? The duo meet under the least expecting circumstances and their deep love and connection is beautiful. This book is an emotional roller coaster ride.

Well, this is my second book from this author, and I’m in love.
The story between Will and Tori is wonderful and heartfelt. If you have not read the first book you need to go back and get the details!
Will is fighting cancer and fighting hard. Tori walks in and brings light to the darkest hospital room! But after finding out Will revoked his DNR, there was a fighting chance for him! Also, a long road of recovery. But with Tori by his side and his caring friends and family, there is nothing they can’t do!
I felt like I was right there in the hospital room with them. The author is on point and this two book series will not be the last for me.

Once again I thought this author was able to portray the heartache of reality built together with the ideas of love, hope, and perseverance. In the first book, it leaves you off in a place of fight - fighting to be alive, fighting the will to want to live, and fighting the emotions that come with struggles of cancer. At the beginning of this book, Will has chosen to fight to live, with Tori by his side. This will not be an easy journey and while both of them have their doubts about success, they decide to fight to win a life lived together. Without giving too much away, Will does make it home after extreme chemo and a stem cell transplant. While he does make it home, it doesn’t mean that survival is guaranteed. The story walks you through how Tori, along with others that love him, takes care of Will, both physically and mentally. We see the realistic and sometimes negative effects of recuperation such as low self-esteem, guilt, caregiver burden, and many other weaknesses. However, through these weaknesses, Tori finds ways to provide him dignity and ways of still feeling like a man. And day by day, you can see the shift in Tori as a caregiver, to becoming a full, equal partner in a loving relationship.

One thing I love most about this duet is the realistic nature of the story. In my previous review of the first book I mentioned that I have a daughter with Cystic Fibrosis and have been her caretaker for 10 years. As I read, I understood all of the feelings that were being portrayed, for both characters. I believe that having a healthy relationship between reality, optimism, and hope - it provides the best combination for fighting and resilience. Do we falter along the way, of course, but if you have a foundation to work from you can always find your way back to success. Will at the beginning didn’t have this foundation, but with Tori’s help ended up finding it in the end. The book portrays this balance  very well and could provide a foundation for someone going through a difficult time but hasn’t found that balance yet.

Lastly, what I was most surprised by was the romance aspect throughout the book. Even in these situations I found them not only to be very steamy, but honest. Again the author has a skill for blending insecurities and reality, but still making me blush. The descriptions of these scenes had me picturing everything so clearly in my imagination - this is how I know I love a writer and a book. The characters just possessed and showed so much true love between the two of them that nothing was off limits, limitations could be erotic, and there are just some things that are worth the wait. I really love that I have found this duet series and look forward to reading other things the author has put out.

5+++++ Stars

I'm so sad that I'm done with these two books and I'll never get to read them for the first time again! Not many books make me feel that way but these have somehow touched me in a way not many books have and it feels cheap to say this but, this 2 book series has absolutely become my favorites of 2021.

I'm going to miss the sweetness of Tori and Will. With everything they went through you could feel how much they cared for each other radiating off the pages. My heart still broke a few times in this part of the story. I can only imagine how those fears can affect a person, and once again the way every scene was written was with a lot of thought and you could tell the author put everything she had into each word. I loved how the friendships held tight throughout and how they all came together to help and be the support system for them.

This one had a few scenes that you really will need a fan blowing on you while reading! Holy Moly!! And thats all Im going to say about that LOL

These 2 books are a team, you can not read one without the other, and I can not wait to give it some time and start them all over again.

So many thanks to this author for giving me this story, and also taking the time needed to make them so perfect.

Can not wait for more from this author!!!! I will read them all!

Whatever Tomorrow Brings was the perfect follow-up book to Come Back Tomorrow. The continuation right where book 1 left off, Will and Tori finally admitting to themselves they love one another but due to Will’s collapsed lung, due to pneumonia, they aren’t able to tell each other how they feel.
Tori shows undeniable love by everything she does once Will’s moved to the ICU.
Maybe not cancer related but this book especially hits home more than the first book did. Being there for someone you love with every ounce of your being, while they are battling illness isn’t for the faint at heart. It’s also one of the hardest things one could endure because it makes you feel absolutely helpless. In saying that I also know what it’s like when you get put in charge of medical decisions on sed person’s behalf and how meaningful that is. Which is exactly what Will grants Tori with. He made her his medical proxy, he also decided he’s going to fight.
This could very well be a trigger warning for someone but without giving too much away, everything the core 5 characters go through is nothing short of incredible. How they grow and develop while supporting Will through his journey is amazing.
How it ends? Well I’m giving nothing you need to pick up book 1 and start reading, because you definitely are going to want to read book 2!

My heart! Book 2 has all the emotions you could possibly feel all wrapped into it. I really appreciated all the details that made me feel like I was a part of the story. I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait long to read book 2. I really wondered what would happen. This is an excellently written book (both are) and I felt like I learned a little bit more about experiencing cancer. If you’re ready for a book with all the feels, then this duet is for you!

Tori and Will are back in this tale of one terminal cancer patient and the woman who started out wanting to be his friend and turned into something much more. When she first walked into his room, all she saw were glorious and intense green eyes both challenging her to stay and telling her to leave all at the same time, there is vulnerability and strength, loneliness and determination there, but he has had nobody to visit him, this young man who is suffering all alone. Tori decides at that moment that she will be there for him and asks him whether she could “come back tomorrow?” and she did, everyday and each day she spent with him, each day she fell deeper in love.

What she didn’t want to think about is that Will was going to die, but she knew she was in too deep regardless, but the day she was going to tell him that is the day that she never expected. As Will is struggling to breathe as the pneumonia takes its toll, but between breaths he is trying to talk to Tori, saying that “He is scared and that he feels like he is falling apart and that he has nothing to hold on to to get him though.” this is where Tori says he can hold onto her, but he replies that “He wants her to leave and not to come back tomorrow, in fact not to come back at all!”

This absolutely destroys Tori, but she doesn’t realise just how much until she hears the alarm of “Code blue, code blue in room four-twelve” and she knows then that it might just be too late to tell him how she feels. However, when her best friend Jenny comes into the room and tells her that he hasn’t died and that in fact he has chosen to live, chosen to love, chosen to fight and chosen Tori over death, all she feels is relief that she has a second chance and this time, she isn’t going to let it pass her by and she will fight by his side, as he fights everything else. This is an emotional rollercoaster which will wrench you by the heartstrings throughout as the fight continues in this epic journey of uncertain tomorrows.
