This book was so detailed and the imagery is beautiful! This is the perfect book for children who have an interest in horses/horse riding. It is magical and interesting, I loved the relationships between the girls and their horses. Definitely one for school and home libraries!

I guess I should not be suprised that I did not like it, I'm really not the target audience... but since I do love reading literature geared at younger readers I suppose I was hoping for something fun and action-driven that happens to have horses in it, like The Scorpio Races. I do love the game deeply and while the 'big bad evil is threatening the world' plot is nothing very inspiring, it could still have made for a fun quick read. Unfortunately it just didn't capture me in a way that made me want to keep reading.
In short, if you're an adult looking for a fun horsey book to read, there are better ones out there.
If you're a fan of the Star Stable game and universe, it might be worth a peek, though. :)
