This was a delightful story! I really liked the way Tirzah reworked the original story. I can't wait to read more by her!

Summary: Fanny has been living with her Aunt and Uncle and cousins for years, yet still is an outcast in their home. When her Uncle (one of the few who really seems to accept her) suddenly has an unexpected accident her world turns upside down. When it seems that it might not be an accident after all and the Crawfords arrive to shake things up even more, Fanny will have to decide what the cost of the truth is worth to her.
Review: This was my 2nd favorite book of the series. This is also the only Jane Austen book of the 3 I haven't read or seen a movie adaptation of. I enjoyed listening to this book-I really liked hearing it with the British accent. I also believe this book strayed the most from the original story from relationships and character personalities.

I really enjoyed this mystery retelling of a Jane Austen novel. I will have to wait until I read one of the other two in this series before comparing it to the original because I have read the original Mansfield Park only once and that was a while ago. I know Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility much better. I would have rated this book even higher if Price had had a bit of a lighter hand with the romance at the end, more like Austen herself because Fanny's romance stole attention from the climax/conclusion of the mystery which I loved. On that note, I did find the identity of the culprit more obvious (not in a bad way) than several of the other reviewers.
