What a sweet romance! There’s lots of setup and build up in this volume. It’s very sweet seeing Nick’s encouragement of Charlie.

Coming from the Netflix adaptation first, I’m surprised
to not see Elle!

I love this series, at this point i have re-read all the books that have got published a lot of times
this series its what has got me into reading, but this book specialy its really nice, all the interaction of the growing love of nick and charlie was incredibly heartwarming and nice, its relatable for a teen's love story, and the representation, specially the Bisexual one that its not that well portrayed on media, its really well done
the only detail its that the end has a HUGE cliffhanger, so I recommend going reading the second book imediatly if you don't want to end up with a lot of tension

Very cute and butterfly-inducing, if a little flat and trope-y. Will definitely finish the series.

I wonder if I would've felt differently about this if I had read it before watching the adaptation, because I loved the first season a lot and this just doesn't hit the same way for me. But that's also a me problem when it comes to graphic novels in general, I think—I really love the idea of the medium, but I don't always connect as easily to the stories, because I end up reading them too fast. I did enjoy reading this, though, and the adaptation seems to be pretty faithful so far.

I decided to read Heartstopper after watching the Netflix series (like many others, probably). I was positively surprised when I realised that the graphic novel is as captivating as the show, but in a rather different way!

😍 The good:
Wholesome, relatable book with nice characters and a quite deep message. Can't wait to continue reading! I think that, out of this franchise, the graphic novel might be the most exciting for me. So simple, yet powerful: great to get you out of a reading slump, also.

😅 The not-so-good:
The graphics are not amazing, but they are still really cute and fit the book well! Not much of a downside. At times, the graphic novel is a bit simple, but it's understandable and it still comes across as thoughtful.
