Been avoiding it for a long time, because I got the impression when it was first coming out that it was kinda a queer story written for straight people and most of the people who I saw talk about it seemed to be almost fetishizing the story.  But I ended up with a copy and it only took an hour to read, at max, and I'm very glad I did.  It's very sweet and cute and I felt that all my previous concerns weren't based in reality but rather some skewed reviews years ago.

Wanted to pick up this series to see what all the hype was about, and I’m hoping it goes up from here… It wasn’t a bad book by any means, but as someone who doesn’t typically read graphic novels, there wasn’t as much character building/backstory as I’m used to.
It was such a quick read, I am still planning on picking up the rest of the series, and hoping my ratings go up as I get to know more about Nick and Charlie!

It’s just the fastest thing I’ve ever read. I’m going to be honest, I watched (and fully became obsessed with) the show before reading the graphic novels. Blasphemy, I know. My roommate kindly lent me his copies so I could rectify the situation. And wow am I so glad he did.

This book is so precious. There’s something so lovely about reading about YA, queer love that is just so pure and real and magical for the characters experiencing it. Charlie and Nick are just so precious. You just want to protect them at all costs. And Kit/Joe are basically just the comics come to life so reading this story let me expand on my favorite series and get even more details than the show.

Also, side note, I hate Ben even more than I did after watching the show. What a dickhead. 👏🏼

Loved this sweet little graphic novel. Immediately starting #2.

I saw the Netflix show first and am happy to finally be reading the graphic novels. It is wonderful! Lots of realism, depth of feeling, addressing serious issues, but also having so much love, sweetness, and heart. I look forward to reading all of Alice’s work!

As someone who found heartstopper through the Netflix show, finally getting to sit down and read this book has been so heartwarming. The story of Nick and Charlie is beautiful and reading how they came to be makes my heart happy. It is an extremely quick read as it is a comic, but also because you do not want to put it down. I love this book and will recommend to many!
