Je laisse sans note car quasiment sure que si je n’ai pas trop aimé c’est à cause de la traduction. J’avais adoré « This poison heart », autre roman de l’autrice, donc je ne vois que ça. Les thématiques étaient très cool et la réécriture du conte de cendrillon et de son impact sur le royaume étaient très sympa à suivre mais j’avais l’impression de lire en surface des phrases plates qui ne rendaient pas justice au propos

This book is similar to „the lunar chronicles“. The sapphic love story is very prominent in the book and the challenging of societal norms contains just sexism. 

All in all it’s a good book for a younger ya audience

The entire focus of this book is systemic womens’ oppression within a fairytale/kingdom/fantasy setting, so if that is a topic which is triggering to you then I suggest you do not read. Women are objectified, harassed, married against their will, etc. but of course described by the author in a negative way. A woman is decapitated as she is falsely accused of assisting the main character. Another thing that may be triggering is a brief horse death as well as a bunny death which is more detailed.
