Fantastic series. Short books that flow into each other easily.

Excellent characters and world building. Can't wait to listen to the next set.

Rounded up.
This is in fact a paranormal poly romance -- two of the MCs just happen to occupy the same body. Aside from that there are monsters and conspiracies and paranormal sex. Despite the subject matter, Hawk's writing always feels a little bit too YA-ish to me. The writing isn't bad, but characters tend to be either overly dramatic or incongruously cavalier (or both), and not very complex, and things tend to escalate and escalate. And John is totally a Mary Stu. And I don't particularly like vamps. Still, I enjoyed this, the premise is original and the world-building good, and it's good entertainment, if a little bit fluffy.

This story left me kind of eh. I loved the characters especially Caleb. I enjoyed the verbal sparring with John. I liked watching them fall for each other. And I did like the world building. The prejudice towards those with psychic abilities paralleled nicely I think homophobia without being heavy handed. Of course the sex was hot. I wouldn't expect anything less from Hawk at this point.

Problem was Gray. I LIKED the dracul. A lot. I think Hawk did a great job of fleshing out his personality as separate from Caleb. And watching the relationship develop between Caleb and Gray was awesome. But I was eh about the relationship between Gray and John. When the love word got dropped I was pretty disbelieving. And then for awhile it was like John just forgot about Caleb. Towards the end we got more play with Caleb but I still always felt like it Gray for John. I don't know..it made me like John less. I'm hoping the next set of stories will change that feeling for me.

I LOVED THESE SERIES! At first I was hesitant because there's one tag that isn't my cup of tea when reading a romance book, but the tags "paranormal", "fantasy" "mystery" drew me in to read these series and also because of the high ratings and boy am I glad I did because these series has now become one of my favourite paranormal series AND THEN I find out there are even more sequels (2 more) I can't wait to read them all! I purchased the second full series on iBooks and can't wait to start!

Back to these series, I really like all characters in here, there wasn't anyone that annoyed me or made me hate, they all have their interesting fun personalities. I loved how in each installment there was development in their relationship and that each story had something interesting going on yet it was never in a boring, dragging way and it all was building up towards the big finale.

Sometimes it was fast-paced in action but it didn't bother much because well, you aren't reading these books for the long fight, action-scenes.

If I had to choose a favorite character, I pick Gray. I really liked Gray. It was interesting to see him grow and understand things more and more and see him living life and even grow some deep feelings but he's also badass and that's very attractive in a character!

Conclusion, loved these First series and now I'm off to read the Second one!

Great series!

This is a great series. It’s a slow build, with a fantastic premise and the last two books are very definitely the best but the first four do the necessary world building, though at a pace I’d prefer be faster with more details.

John, Caleb and Grey are compelling main characters and as you watch the relationships develop (Caleb and Grey, Caleb and John, Grey and John) it is a very intricate dance that the author pulls off. These books give a whole new meaning to the phrase “inner monologue!”

I am looking forward to series 2 of this series. This story arc has been completed so it will be exciting to see what is to come next.

Technically, this is 6 books in one but they were short so I'm counting them all together. Caleb gets possessed by the vampire spirit Gray. John is in charge of exorcising him. "Too bad" they all fall in love with each other along the way. This series is my happy place. I could read it every day and be perfectly content.

I can't even begin to express how much I love this series. It appeals to everything inside me that is nerdy.
The SPECTR series is just that, a series, and it reads like a TV show. There's everything I would ever need in this show and I would absolutely love to see it adapted. How can this happen?
There's a hotshot special agent, a sharp-mouthed wise-ass who has a problem with authority and a demon hunting spirit caught inside a living body and all of them are hot as sin. Like I said, everything I need.
And what's more, this bundle was available at a bargain 99p. Thanks. I'm now off to buy the next two books. Because I can't enough of these stories.
