Jude and Derek were everything I hoped they’d be... and more! A great addition to the series.

Jude is famous, but lonely and in the closet. Derek is his bodyguard. Once they realize they’re both gay but not ready to come out, their relationship blooms.

Even as they kid themselves about not being in a real relationship, it’s so natural it slips right by them. Added interest includes a drunk stalker, a slimy ex of Jude’s, and a super conservative family of Derek’s.

I love the lyrics to the songs Jude writes, lovely rhymes. Another great read.

Wasn't sure I wanted to give this 3. I liked it but didn't love it which was disappointing because I'd been looking forward to it since reading the first book in the series. Jude and Wolfe fall for each other while one tour. A secret was mentioned in Borrowing Blue and I kept waiting for that to be brought up but it never was. Maybe the author forgot or maybe it will show up in a later book.

Jude is a country music star and Wolfe is a body guard hired after a series of events that threatened Jude.

I seriously love this series and the Marian Family. This series will be one that I read/listen to over and over!

I really have fallen in love with this series! The characters continue to be engaging and well written; the sex scenes are extremely erotic and they don’t take themselves too seriously. This one deals with a country singer who’s deeply closeted but falls in love with his bodyguard. It’s intense and steamy and still has enough humor to hold my interest. I like how these books all interconnect for those who’ve read the previous ones but still hold up enough on their own for people who haven’t. This is probably my least favorite of the three so far but it is still enjoyable and I still highly recommend it.

Thoughts while reading:
-you bring a client (famous and rich client) to meet his new bodyguard in a locker room? That’s professional. Give the bodyguard a chance to be fully dressed and not surprised to meet his client. Honestly, that could be considered sexual harassment.
-isn’t it unsafe to leave Jude alone in the hallway while Derek checks rooms? Shouldn’t someone that famous be able to afford another bodyguard at least which would be safer?
-I’m not so sure why Jude’s worried about Ari outting him, because that would out Ari and he has everything to lose if that happens
-even when he’s had two trespassers, one bodyguard who needs to sleep too seems like not even close enough to adequate security of someone super famous
-Jude’s a complete idiot to call Ari and give him any attention
-what kind of security system doesn’t alert them to a visitor until they’re knocking on your front door?
-not having followed the series, I was a little thrown when Jude said he had 3 brothers who had been homeless, I’m guessing they were adopted, because his parents are super parents
-camping in a tent with no extra security? Or really no security since Derek is busy
-Derek hasn’t bottomed before but agreed to at some time, but Jude should discuss it before he actually starts to go for it
-Derek not being with Jude at the end pissed me off.

Cute overall, really enjoyed it.
