I read this book at the perfect time, it was really needed to feel validated in my experience.
Annie had a way of writing about love, grief, loss, and heartbreak in a fresh and nuanced way. I felt she articulated moments and feelings so eloquently. Annie details the messiness and the way grief manifests itself in the smallest of ways. She writes in a way that encompasses the complexity of it all.
I found this book to be very healing personally and as I read I felt like it was taking me on a journey. I noticed my perspective change over the course of this read and felt like I was processing my own experience alongside it. It is laced with gems and nuggets. Although this book is sad, emotional, and reflective, I finished this book feeling hopeful, and lighter and that somehow I would be okay too.
This book helped me through the very thing it was talking about and I felt truly changed after this read.
