I started this book in middle school after becoming obsessed with John Green books, but quickly realized it was not for me and never finished it. I started it again now as an adult and came to the conclusion that it’s still not for me but it was better the second time around. There were definitely parts that made me laugh but overall just not one of my favorites.
It's the most underrated John Green novel, I was planning to sleep before 12(it's 3 AM now) & I just couldn't stop listening to the audiobook. I don't think I've ever read a novel with a Muslim character as one of the leads, loved each character & the humor & the refreshingly simple yet captivating plot.

This was definitely my least favourite John Green book so far, I really struggled to get engaged with it. I was almost finished before I found any of the characters interesting and the ending felt extremely predictable. I'm glad it wasn't my first book of his because I don't think I'd have read anymore of his work.

Dear John,
I love you.
I'd like it if you and I could meet and marry.
This book, and Mr Green's other books, leave you nearly breathless, and this is especially inspiring because they are for the teen-scene. He has nearly received five stars from me due to the fact that there is now what I would call the "John Green-esque" genre of young adult fiction. What characterizes this genre is: real, round characters...not just the beautiful people. An innovative, yet realistic, storyline. Tragic, but satisfying plots...better than a comedy according to Plato. And a sense of mystery that keeps you turning pages way past your bed time
Dear John,
I'm pretty cute, but I live I'm China.
Up for some exciting travel?
