Well, that wasnt very good.
Not the worst historical fiction book I've read, but seriously lacking. It started fairly well but by 60% I was really over the main character, her romance arc and the "mean girls" group she was entangled with.
Honestly I don't think they deserved her forgiveness or constant olive branches, sometimes people just suck and disappoint you. Plus this was a LOT to occur in a short time span. It really didn't feel like "Jane Austen meets [insert teen drama here]", it really wasn't that clever or romantic. Felt a lot more like a modern story shoehorned into a regency setting.

Really enjoyed this one. It was, by turns, funny and heartbreaking. Bessie Carter did an incredible job with the audiobook narration.
Moderate: Sexual assault, Rape, and Racism
