*3 stars may be a stretch, this book is closer to 2,5 stars*
I didn't like the writing in this at all and that was my main problem, it was SO CHEESY and there were parts that sounded like a bad self-help book. Also, there's a part where the hero tells the heroine what he likes about her and his answer sounded like someone looked up a badly written birth chart or horoscope and copied it. Also, I didn't particularly like the characters.
This book has an interesting premise, but beyond that, the only thing it has going for it is that it was really steamy.

My heart just exploded...
CW: strong language. Also, the characters have sex a lot. Each sexual act is on page.
B. Love didn't fail with this book I wasnt sure what to expect considering that the book was surrounding the idea of the main characters having a fans only cam. I thought there would be more comments on the sex industry but I'm actually happy that we got a lot of Merrick's and Aries' relationship. This follows the classic friends to lovers trope but I thought it was done so well. When the two decide to go through with creating a fans only cam while maintaining a friendship it's so easy to tell that they are going to wind up falling in love. Do I think that everything was fine perfect in this book? Absolutely not. I don't think it was realistic to have a teacher create a Fans only cam and not really discuss how that would impact his career. BUT for me the emotional ride is why this book was so amazing.
I've been and still find myself in the same predicament as Aries. She struggled with commitment and relationships because she had the bad habit of falling in love with the idea of or potential of some one. For me, that's always been my Achilles heel. I love the idea and potential of someone more than actually loving them and it causes so many problems. Aries struggles with this so you can't imagine how much it meant to me when Merrick showed her that he could be a gentle kind and caring man not because that's who Aries wanted him to be but because that was truly who he was as a person. From the moment that they first have sex he is so attentive to her needs and making sure that she is comfortable. Shoot I fell in love with him myself while reading. And I love that B. Love allows him to be a flawed character that learns from his past mistakes. He admitted that he made mistakes in past relationships because he wasn't in touch with himself. Throughout the story they both work on their insecurities. I loved seeing that on page while they also discussed things like love languages. It was just beautiful. This wasnt a perfect book but I really love what it did for me personally.

Sexual Healing
What a very cute and sexual short novel!!!...I loved me some Merrick and Aries!!!...Sometimes it take a different type of situationship to free you from n the trap you unknowingly l placed yourself in!!!...We also have to be honest about the things we desire because we think we can't have it and then in a choke hold because we are afraid to let it go when we realize it's not what we wanted!!!...I felt free after reading this book!!!...Take a deep breath!!!...

great story
Let me go start an only fans account. Lol. Loved the story and characters. Just enough erotic as well. Amazing as usual.

This was a lot more emotional and heartfelt than I expected it to be! Given the premise centres on OnlyFans and sex work I had assumed it'd be mostly smut, but I quickly became enamoured by the pining and romance.
I looooooved how this talked about love languages. Both these characters need to be cared for in completely different ways and are able to articulate that, and identify those as the reasons why their past relationships failed. The maturity and communication was off the charts and we LOVE TO SEE IT.
There's also a great arc where Aries learns to realise the difference between how her abusive ex treated her ("you don't bring anything I need to the table") versus how a healthy relationship should be ("you are the table"). It's only a small part of the book but it was handled well!
My only qualm here was that it kinda glossed over OnlyFans and sex work. Given this was released during a pandemic when so many unemployed people were half-joking about "oh I'll just jump on OnlyFans", I think this could have added some mindful commentary around sex work, how much work actually goes into OnlyFans, and the stigma that sex workers face. The book wasn't derogatory or whorephobic at all but there was a missed opportunity.
4 stars. This was a surprisingly heartfelt read, and it gave me everything on the Friends-to-Lovers front that another book *cough* Go Deep *cough* didn't quite nail. I'm definitely keen to check out more of B. Love's work!

Thank you to the people who recommended this. I LOVED this book. The openness, talking about what feeds you when it comes to love, and not changing that no matter what ugh. Merrick is another book boyfriend, I might have to make a list this year.
i’ve never been more convinced that two people belonged together. i don’t know what it was, but something about the way b. love wrote this story was chef's kiss. i know this is supposed to be erotic romance but i forgot all about the erotic. the romance hit me hard, a job well done. i had a few minor gripes with the story but nothing to write home about. especially considering how much was well executed in such a short number of pages.
