It was just a solid shrug, which is disappointing because I generally like Helen Harper. 

Emma just felt a bit Super Cop and rolled with things a bit too well.

God there’s so few good UF out there it’s wonderful to read one that doesn’t have super obvious problems. It’s pro cop but inside a different world so kinda fine.

I read the first three books over the past few days because I'm sick and lying in bed lol. This is a fun series. I didn't LOVE the first book (around a 3.5) but it was enjoyable enough that I decided to continue, and the second and third books are SO GOOD. Especially the third book, which is a great use of Groundhog Day trope. Emma also grew on me. Looking forward to finding out more about Emma's abilities.
